Formerly known as Ruth Hardy Park, the neighborhood is a very sought-after central Palm Springs community, primarily because of its proximity to downtown. The community has over 700 homes of all sizes and architectural styles, mostly built between the late 1930s into the 2000's. The community is well known for some of its famous residents throughout the years, such as Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Steve Lawrence, Eydie Gorme, Bing Crosby, Carmen Miranda, Keely Smith and Hedy Lamarr.

The pedestrian friendly neighborhood is walking distance to the trendy Uptown Design District and the shops and restaurants of downtown Palm Springs.
